The Museum of the Lublin University of Technology carries out documentation, scientific and promotional activities relating to the history of the university and the development of technical thought. The museum collects, compiles and makes available collections related to the Lublin University of Technology's achievements, its notable employees and alumni, and, more broadly, the history of science and technology in Poland.

The institution was established on 20 December 2007. Its collections currently comprise over 13,000 items, some of which are presented in permanent and temporary exhibitions. The exhibits are systematically researched and preserved.

Of particular value is the collection of over 500 historic technical devices dating from the 1950s to the 1990s. This collection documents the development of technology, as well as the history of teaching and scientific research at the Lublin University of Technology. Exhibits include strength testing machines, specialist microscopes, measuring and diagnostic equipment, teaching devices, and everyday items such as radio and television receivers, telephones, typewriters, and mechanical and electronic calculators. Also noteworthy is the collection of the first home and personal computers to be made available on the Polish market, which showcases the dawn of the digital age.

The museum plays an active role in the region's academic and cultural life. It organises events such as the Lublin Science Festival and Lublin University of Technology Open Days, as well as educational activities for children and young people. The museum cooperates with external institutions, expert communities and volunteers, offering substantive support and access to its collections and exhibition spaces.

The Museum of the Lublin University of Technology is a member of the Association of University Museums, a nationwide organisation that brings together museums operating within higher education institutions.
