The Lublin University of Technology Museum cordially invites everyone to visit the permanent exhibition, 'History and Technology', presented at the Centre for Innovation and Advanced Technologies (CIiZT) on level 2, in the lobby and room 213.

Prior arrangement is required for visits, which can be made by calling (81) 538 48 40, or by speaking directly with the staff in room 308 A (level 3).

The ‘History and Technology’ exhibition showcases a variety of objects that have been utilised in the everyday work and studies of our academic community in recent years. These are mainly devices from former laboratories and other university rooms. Some were constructed by employees or donated by manufacturing plants, while others can be found in most homes.

The exhibition showcases specialised scientific and research apparatus, as well as other laboratory equipment such as measuring and diagnostic instruments used for engineering calculations. There are also office equipment and drawing tools on display, totalling over two hundred objects from all faculties of the University of Technology. Our students and younger employees will certainly be interested in the exhibition showing the first computers at the Lublin University of Technology: ZX-81, Spectrum SX and NEPTUNE 184, among others.

A significant section of the exhibition showcases the history of Lublin University of Technology. Archival photographs and memorabilia depict everyday life at the university, including the interiors of studios, academic and state ceremonies, and scientific, sporting, and artistic activities. The photographs also show the construction of the campus buildings on Nadbystrzycka Street.

Significantly, the historical exhibition is presented at the Centre for Innovation and Advanced Technologies, the university's largest and most modern building. After sixteen years, the Museum of the Lublin University of Technology has finally been given its own exhibition space in which to properly present its collections.
