Motto for the Open Access Week 2025 in “Who Owns Our Knowledge?”.  
The aim is to encourage critical reflection on who truly controls access to scientific knowledge and research outcomes. This topic highlights the need for equal and fair access to knowledge, drawing attention to issues of intellectual property and the influence of various groups in science. Addressing this issue is intended to spark open discussion about the ethics of knowledge ownership and to promote open science as a path toward a more just society.  
 
During this week, CSTI has prepared a series of open consultations – the Open Meet-Ups – which will take place each day in different campus locations. 

We will offer guidance on how to decide the future of the knowledge you produce: where and how to publish your research, how to create a data management plan, and how to make use of your institutional repository. 
 
The Meet-Ups are for those who want to learn how to incorporate openness principles into their research practice: 
– those who want to make their research more accessible 
– those who would like to share what they’ve researched so far but don’t know how 
– those who have doubts and are not yet convinced about sharing 
– those who are advanced, and those who are just starting out 

But openness in science is not just about sharing  it's also about exploring and utilizing shared resources. 
 
So we also welcome those who are more interested in this aspect of openness – the possibilities of utilizing what's already available to them.
