We recommend publications of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland dedicated to issues related to intellectual property protection and the procedures in force at the Office:

Patent Office Bulletin of the Republic of Poland
The bulletin is divided into two parts. The first part, titled “Trademarks”, contains announcements of trademark applications and oppositions filed against trademark applications. The second part, “Inventions and Utility Models”, includes announcements of applications for inventions and utility models.

Patent Office News of the Republic of Poland
These news publications include announcements about granted patents, supplementary protection rights, protection rights, registration rights, protection of international trademarks and industrial designs, submitted translations of European patents, as well as entries and changes related to granted rights in registers maintained by the Patent Office. They also provide information on invalidations and expirations of rights, decisions terminating proceedings, and decisions confirming the expiry of exclusive rights, along with searchable texts (as attachments to individual issues of the News).

Official Journal of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland
Contains issued regulations, notices, and communications from the President of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, as well as information and announcements from the Patent Office.

Free Publications of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland
These publications aim to disseminate and deepen knowledge about industrial property protection, such as guides and informational/promotional brochures. We particularly recommend the Inventor’s Guide (Poradnik wynalazcy).

Quarterly of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland
This quarterly publication is intended for anyone interested in intellectual property protection and aspects of the functioning of the Patent Office.

Annual Report of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland

These reports review the work of the Patent Office and provide detailed statistical data on industrial property protection in Poland. They also include information on initiatives and activities undertaken by the Office to support innovation and promote knowledge in the field of industrial property.

According to the 2024 Annual Report, out of 3,363 patents granted to domestic and foreign entities (including 260 in the Lublin Voivodeship), 132 were granted to employees and students of Lublin University of Technology. In the ranking of domestic and foreign applicants by the number of patents granted in 2024, Lublin University of Technology ranks first.
