If the result of creative work, e.g., by a student or a researcher, is one of the following:

• an invention,

• a utility model,

• an industrial design,

• a trademark,

• a topography of an integrated circuit,

It must first be filed with the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland. Any disclosure of the solution before filing with the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland will make it impossible to obtain legal protection.

After the solution is filed, one may, for example: publish scientific articles, give lectures, write a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral thesis related to the solution, share it with colleagues, or send photographs.
