Proofreading

Language editing is a very important and essential stage of the publishing process.

LUT Publishing House cooperates with external proofreaders who carry out language editing. In order to submit a work for editing, authors are requested to prepare a purchase request based on the cost estimate provided by LUT Publishing House staff.  LUT Publishing House staff determine the cost of editing, taking into account the number of publisher’s worksheets and the applicable proofreading rates.

Depending on the workload, it is also possible to prepare a correction by editors from LUT  Publishing House after prior arrangement with the head of LUT Publishing House, Dr Karolina Famulska-Ciesielska (k.famulska@pollub.pl).

LUT Publishing House provides proofreaders with a manuscript that that has received positive reviews and has been revised in accordance with the reviewers’ comments.

Each publication is assigned to a coordinating editor who is responsible for overseeing the publishing process. The coordinating editor verifies the edited text and then returns it to the author. The duration of the editing process depends on the length of the text and the editors’ workload. On average, it takes approximately one month.
