Open Access Man­date in LUT

Fol­lo­wing the Natio­nal Science Cen­ter recom­men­da­tion, on 6th of Novem­ber 2020 Lublin Uni­ver­sity of Tech­no­logy imple­men­ted the Open Access Man­date as a result of Rec­tors’ Regu­la­tion No. R-92/2020. Rese­ar­chers are enco­ura­ged to pro­vide as open access to their publi­ca­tions as possi­ble, inc­lu­ding data and meta­data.

LUT Open Access Mandate (Polish)

In the Cen­tre of Scien­ti­fic and Tech­ni­cal Infor­ma­tion our Open Science Team led by Rec­to­r’s Repre­sen­ta­tive for Open Access con­stan­tly work on pro­vi­ding suf­fi­cient sup­port and guidance for LUT’S rese­ar­chers regar­ding Open Science and pro­mo­ting its core prin­ci­ples.

These tasks inc­lude:

• individual and group consulting and training on Open Science - for LUT researchers and doctoral students,
• providing information and assistance in participation in open access publishing programmes,
• advising on copyright, creative commons licensing and trustworthy open repositories, journals and services,
• providing guidance on research data management, DMP planning and deposing research data in repositories,
• monitoring Open Science requirements for various stakeholders and founders,
• preparing annual reports and analysis of the current level of openness in LUT to the University authorities,
• analyzing opportunities for expanding Open Science infrastructure best suited for LUT’s needs, managing institutional collections in external repositories and platforms (RepOD, Zenodo),
• promoting Open Science among researchers and the academic community in general.
