Stan­dar­di­za­tion plays an impor­tant role in the mar­ket eco­nomy – it guaran­tees quality and con­tri­bu­tes to the com­pe­ti­ti­ve­ness of Polish pro­ducts and servi­ces. It is hard to ima­gine the con­tem­po­rary world without stan­dards since it became pre­sent in many areas. Often, aca­de­mies and tech­ni­cal uni­ver­si­ties offer access to those docu­ments.

Stan­dard is a docu­ment that stan­da­ri­zes acti­vi­ties such as rese­arch acti­vity, tech­no­logy, pro­duc­tion or service acti­vity. It is a docu­ment pro­tec­ted by copy­ri­ght just like films, music, com­pu­ter pro­grams or lite­rary work.

The owner of the copy­ri­ght is the Polish Com­mit­tee for Stan­da­ri­za­tion, which is respon­si­ble for the stan­da­ri­za­tion acti­vity in Poland. Thanks to the con­tract with The Polish Com­mit­tee for Stan­dar­di­za­tion and imple­men­ta­tion of Infor­ma­tion Secu­rity Mana­ge­ment System in the Library of the Cen­tre of Scien­ti­fic and Tech­ni­cal Infor­ma­tion, we give you access to full texts of tho­usands of stan­dards and stan­da­ri­sa­tion docu­ments, both Polish, and inter­na­tio­nal.Our divi­sion is a cer­ti­fied unit. It has a cer­ti­fi­ca­tion of Infor­ma­tion Secu­rity Mana­ge­ment System in accor­dance with the stan­dard PN-ISO/IEC 27001:2017–06. We also offer pho­to­copy of the frag­ments of stan­dards.

We pro­vide norms in 4 faculty libra­ries and in the Gene­ral Stu­den­t’s Room.

In each of the service points, you will get pro­fes­sio­nal aid rela­ted to stan­dards. Our libra­rians will help you find the stan­dard and they will pro­vide you with any neces­sary infor­ma­tion.
