 We recommend Publications of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland on matters related to property protection and procedures in the Office:

  • Bulletin of the Patent Office

Publication is divided into two parts: Trademarks, which contains announcements about trademark applications and oppositions filed against trademark applications, and Inventions and Utility Models, which contains announcements about applications for inventions and utility models.

  • News of the Patent Office

This section includes announcements about granted patents, supplementary protection rights, protection rights, rights under registration, protection of international trademarks and industrial designs, filed translations of European patents, as well as entries and changes concerning granted rights in the registers kept by the Patent Office and information about cancellations and expirations of rights, decisions discontinuing proceedings and stating the expiration of decisions granting exclusive rights, as well as searchable texts (in the form of appendices to particular issues of WUP)

  •  Official Journal of the Patent Office

Contains announcements and notices from the President of the Patent Office and information and announcements from the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland.

  • Free Publications of the Patent Office

It is a collection of publications that disseminate and deepen knowledge on industrial property protection, such as guides and informative and promotional brochures.

It is directed to everyone interested in industrial property protection issues and aspects of functioning of the Office.

  • Annual Report of the Patent Office Year 2020

Discusses the results of work of the Office and provides detailed statistical data on industrial property protection in Poland. It also contains information on initiatives undertaken and activities of the Office to support innovation and dissemination of knowledge in the field of industrial property.

According to the Report for 2020, out of 2308 patents granted to domestic and foreign entities (including 170 in Lubelskie Voivodeship), 68 are granted to employees and students of Lublin University of Technology. The ranking of domestic and foreign applicants according to the number of patents granted in 2020 puts Lublin University of Technology in 4th place.
