An educational workshop combined with a lecture, during which participants learned about the history and types of writing. They also had the opportunity to try out various writing tools and techniques used throughout the centuries.

Yes to Tolerance! Different Does Not Mean Worse

The project aimed to:

  • raise students’ awareness of intolerance, discrimination, violence, and aggression
  • cultivate attitudes of tolerance towards diversity, respect for human rights and dignity, regardless of race, nationality, culture, or religion
  • encourage mutual understanding

During the session, participants engaged in interactive activities that helped them understand what tolerance is and why it is important.

Language Challenges

Through a variety of quizzes, board games, and card games, young participants explored the rules of the Polish language. They also investigated whether Polish is as difficult as it is often portrayed in memes and learned about the work of editors in publishing houses.

Discover the Secrets of the Library

Participants took part in a game with escape room elements, solving puzzles and quizzes while searching for hidden clues within the library. The workshop provided a closer look at the academic library, and at the end, participants had the opportunity to showcase their artistic skills.

The Blocks Have Been Distributed

Predicting what our world will look like in 50 or 100 years is not easy. But can we always interpret and describe what surrounds us today? Sometimes, in science, looking at familiar things from a different perspective helps answer the toughest questions.

  • How can we do this?
  • What happens when the LEGO bricks are distributed?

The project introduced children to the basics of working with metadata and data using playful learning methods. It highlighted the benefits of a methodical approach, organization, and data management through LEGO constructions. The workshop included elements of data organization, visualization, and creative work with LEGO bricks.

Once Upon a Book
