Lublin University of Technology once again qualified for the international EngiRank and THE WUR by Subject rankings
Lublin University of Technology has once again qualified for two prestigious subject rankings: EngiRank 2025 and THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026. The results of the rankings confirm the University's stable presence among technical universities assessed on a European and global scale.
1. EngiRank 2025: evaluation of European technical universities
For the third time, Lublin University of Technology has been included in the EngiRank ranking, which covers 239 universities from 34 countries in the European Higher Education Area. The ranking, prepared by the ‘Perspektywy’ Educational Foundation, is based exclusively on quantitative data, including from the Scopus, PATSTAT, CORDIS and European Education Area databases.
Lublin University of Technology:
has been included in the list of classified universities for the third time in a row,
maintained its 2024 score despite increased competition,
recorded increases in the areas of Research, Innovation and SDG,
performed best in the discipline of Civil Engineering – 137th place,
The ranking assesses, among other things, the quality of research, cooperation with industry, internationalisation and the university's contribution to the implementation of sustainable development goals.
2. THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026: global assessment
THE WUR by Subject ranking is one of the most important global rankings assessing universities in 11 scientific fields. Lublin University of Technology was qualified in two of them:
Engineering – range 1001-1250,
Computer Science – range 1001+.
In both disciplines, the University maintained its position from last year, despite an increase in the number of institutions included in the assessment. In the Engineering discipline, indicators related to cooperation with industry (Industry) and teaching quality (Teaching) improved. In the case of Computer Science, a particularly high score was achieved in the International Outlook category (48.8).
The THE WUR by Subject ranking is based on five main areas: research quality (citations), research environment, teaching, internationalisation and cooperation with industry. The data comes from the Scopus database, statistics reported by universities and international reputation surveys.
Participation in the rankings is the result of the commitment of the academic community of the Lublin University of Technology to the development of science, internationalisation and improving the quality of research and teaching.
