Lublin University of Technology has been included in the latest edition of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The 2027 ranking features 2,297 universities across 118 countries and territories, with the University placed in the 1801–2000 band overall.

A notable result for the University is its performance in International Outlook, where it placed ninth among the 44 Polish institutions ranked. This category assesses the proportions of international students and staff, alongside international research collaboration measured through publications with international co-authors.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings compares research-intensive universities across five areas: teaching, research environment, research quality, international outlook and industry engagement. Together, these areas provide a broad view of institutional performance, encompassing the learning environment, research capacity and influence, international collaboration and knowledge transfer.

The assessment draws on institutional data submitted by universities, academic reputation surveys and bibliometric data on research publications and citations. While the overall ranking combines performance across these areas, the individual category scores offer a more detailed picture of each institution’s activities.
