slajder wit info about the membership in AEUP

Lublin University of Technology Publishing House has joined the Association of European University Presses (AEUP), an organisation bringing together academic and institutional publishers from across Europe. As the first university press from Poland to become a member, it now belongs to an international community committed to advancing professional scholarly publishing and modern scholarly communication.

The Association of European University Presses fosters cooperation among European academic publishers, facilitates the exchange of knowledge and best practices, and works to increase the visibility of scholarly publications. It provides a forum for joint discussion of challenges related to open access, digital infrastructure development, metadata quality, publishing standards, and the evolving role of university presses.

Membership of the AEUP will enable Lublin University of Technology Press to strengthen its relationships with European partners, participate in industry meetings, conferences, training sessions, and projects, and benefit from the experience of publishers operating under a variety of organisational and funding models. It also provides an opportunity to contribute actively to the European debate on the future of scholarly publishing.

One of the AEUP’s key areas of activity is enhancing the international visibility of its members’ publishing output. This is supported, among other initiatives, by a shared catalogue developed in cooperation with the ScienceOpen platform. The catalogue enables scholarly publications to be presented more effectively in the digital environment, while improving their discoverability, accessibility, and visibility within the international circulation of research.

Joining the AEUP represents an important step in the continued development of Lublin University of Technology Press. It demonstrates the Press’s commitment to international cooperation, the exchange of professional expertise, and active participation in the ongoing transformation of scholarly communication.
