The Resources Department is responsible for acquiring books, textbooks, and journals (both print and electronic), as well as for coordinating the purchase of Polish and international databases.
These activities support the research and teaching carried out by staff at Lublin University of Technology, as well as the educational process for doctoral and undergraduate students.

Additional sources for acquiring books and journals include donations from private individuals, other libraries, and publishers.

To ensure high-quality library services, the Department continuously monitors the quality of data in the library catalogue, updates inventory records, conducts collection assessments, and maintains records of withdrawn items.

Newly acquired books are catalogued both formally and by subject in cooperation with the NUKAT Central Catalogue.
